About Chomb

Handcrafted combs with warmth

Our Story

Chomb was born from a deep love for wood.

Our founder, Master Mu, has been crafting wooden combs by hand for over 20 years. From his early apprenticeship, he fell in love with the art of handcrafting combs.

For two decades, he's done one thing — make the finest wooden comb. From timber selection, cutting, and sanding to quality inspection, every step is personally supervised. No lacquer, no wax, no chemical coating — we let the wood speak for itself.

The name "Choumumu" (丑木木) is inspired by the ancient wisdom "Great skill appears clumsy." What seems simple is crafted with deep care. Every comb is a gift of time.

3000-Grit Polish

From 80 to 3000 grit, step by step. Comb teeth are rounded and silky-smooth — gentle on hair and scalp.

Three-Nos Process

No lacquer. No wax. No chemical coating. We never use artificial finishes to fake smoothness. 3000-grit pure mechanical polish — every comb's luster comes from the wood itself being polished to perfection.

Free Lifetime Repair

Any issue? Send it back and we'll repair it for free. A truly great comb should last a lifetime.

The 39-Step Process

Every Chomb comb goes through 39 handcrafted steps over 3–5 months from raw timber to finished product. No lacquer. No wax. No shortcuts — just time and care.
